Archery Beginners Course 25 Oct & 1 Nov, 2026

This course comprises 2 x 3.5-hour sessions on Sundays 25 October & 1 Nov 2026 9.00am-12:30pm each day. When booking, please check that you are able to attend both sessions.

To book you must be enrolled in, or completed, our Introduction to Archery session within four (4) months of your Beginners Course start date.

You will learn about:

• safety and archery etiquette
• warming up
• types of archery and equipment
• some archery history
• and of course - how to shoot using a recurve bow.

When you complete the course, you will have the skill to shoot up to 20m. You will receive a certificate of eligibility to join Illawarra Archers, and be given some personalised information to help you feel confident in buying your own equipment.

Illawarra Archers provides all necessary equipment. Your coaches are qualified under Archery Australia regulations. When you have submitted your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with further information about the course.
