Tablelands Folk Festival Song Comp

The Tablelands Folk Festival is a vibrant annual event that celebrates music, arts, and cultural diversity in the heart of the Tablelands region. Established as a cornerstone of the local arts scene, the festival brings together musicians, storytellers, artists, and community members for a weekend of performances, workshops, and festivities. We are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where both emerging and established artists can share their talents and connect with audiences of all ages.
Our organisation not only curates a dynamic program of folk, roots, and world music, but also supports creativity originality through songwriting, workshops, children’s activities, and engaging community projects. By partnering with schools, local businesses, and cultural groups, we help to nurture artistic expression and provide opportunities for lifelong learning and participation in music.
The Tablelands Folk Festival plays a key role in strengthening community spirit by creating a space where people can gather, celebrate, and appreciate the richness of our region’s cultural tapestry. Our festival is a significant contributor to the local economy, attracting visitors from across Queensland and beyond, which benefits local businesses and tourism. Through our ongoing efforts, we aim to inspire pride in our unique heritage, encourage cultural exchange, and ensure that the arts remain an accessible and integral part of community life in the Tablelands.
