Kehan – An Echo of Creative Expression A Book-Related Cultural Presentation An NCPA Library Presentation in collaboration with Sangeet Sabha, Bandra East and in association with National Library, Bandra Kehan – An Echo of Creative Expression seeks to create a space where the written word meets music, scholarship and contemporary artistic interpretation. The programme will explore the creative journey and ideas emerging from Kehan , placing the book within a larger cultural context. Rather than treating it only as a published work, the programme opens it up as a cultural conversation, inviting audiences to reflect on and discover the creative echoes that connect literature, music and the performing arts. The evening will feature a conversation with eminent personalities from the worlds of Indian classical music, musicology and contemporary cinema. The panel includes Sanjeev Chimmalgi , a noted Kirana gharana artiste and a disciple of the renowned C. R. Vyas; Dr. Chetna Pathak , Head, Department of Music, University of Mumbai, who is also a disciple of Prabha Atre, and musicologist Dr. Hari Sahasrabuddhe . The evening will be moderated by acclaimed screenplay writer and director Chaitanya Tamhane , whose film Court won the National Award for Best Feature Film and was India’s official entry for the 2016 Academy Awards.
