The Luminary Crown (Grand Rapids Pride Pageant) is an annual competition that crowns an Ambassador of the Grand Rapids Pride Center (GRPC). It celebrates and elevates exemplary leadership within the West Michigan 2-SLGBTQ+ community by showcasing queer and trans visibility, highlighting community-based advocacy, establishing local 2-SLGBTQ+ leaders, and generating funding for GRPC's programs and services.A luminary is someone who inspires others, lights the way forward, and leaves a lasting impact on their community. The Luminary Crown recognizes individuals who embody these qualities through leadership, authenticity, service, and advocacy, honoring those who illuminate a brighter future for the 2-SLGBTQ+ community.
