Ferocious duels between frenzy and introspection, organic and electric, acoustic and amplified, all supported by solid riffs, played live. A scenario punctuated with twists, with the leitmotiv of creating surprise and never limiting the sound potential."The music/sound she was creating struck me as the accompanying soundtrack to the moments before the end of the world. If Joussein had needed a band it would no doubt have featured the four horsemen of the apocalypse.The depth of sound was immense (not just loud) there was barely any recognisable flute playing even though every sound we heard came from her instrument. We were hit by layers and layers of electronic sound, a combination of huge bass notes that you could feel thumping through the floor, rippling echoplexed phrases and assorted feedback plus occasional contorted screaming vocals."
