Englympics 2026: Re-Engineering Category (CQI Qualifier) ♻️🔧 Englympics 2026 – Re-Engineering brings Gina Cody School undergrads together for a focused challenge in adaptability, reverse-engineering, and sustainable design. Hosted by the Engineering and Computer Science Association, this event is the official Concordia qualifier for the Quebec Engineering Competition (CQI). The Challenge Innovation isn't always about building from scratch—sometimes it is about taking what already exists and giving it a new purpose. On the morning of the event, your team will be provided with an existing product, mechanism, or appliance, alongside a mystery objective. Working against the clock, you must dismantle, analyze, and creatively re-engineer the provided components to solve the new problem or significantly optimize the original design. The competition concludes with a live demonstration and presentation, where you will showcase your repurposed prototype and explain your engineering choices to a panel of judges. Event Details Team Structure: Teams of up to 2 students. Format: Mystery item and objective revealed day-of, followed by a continuous teardown, rebuild sprint, and live demonstration. Perks: Fully catered meals to keep you fueled through the sprint, plus high-value prizes awarded to the top-performing teams. Assemble your team and register below to put your ingenuity to the test and represent Concordia at CQI!
