37. Masterclass with Faith Erin Hicks This is an in-person Youth Event.  For full information about school group bookings, including subsidy information, please visit our Information for Teachers page. For the free digital livestream version of this event, please visit our website.  Writer and artist Faith Erin Hicks has worked on famous franchises from The Last of Us to Avatar: The Last Airbender. Her solo titles have been New York Times bestsellers and won multiple awards. In this middle grade masterclass, she’ll share the inspiration behind Inbetweens, her new graphic novel about twin sisters who face various challenges when they go to animation camp; offer some tips and practices for creating compelling illustrated narratives; and even bring out her pens for an exciting on-stage drawing demo. This is a can’t-miss event for budding graphic novelists and fans.  Grades 4–7.   Presented thanks to the generous support of the Pitfield Family in memory of Ebie Pitfield.  Explore the full Festival line up on our website: writersfest.bc.ca BOX OFFICE INFO Please purchase enough tickets for your entire group, including all adults.  Not booking for a school group?
