Descripción

For 18 months, the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) besieged the city of Al-Fashir in North Darfur. In a new, comprehensive report, Amnesty International documents how the non-Arab civilian population was systematically prevented from fleeing, abducted, and killed between early 2024 and October 2025. Amnesty classifies the human rights violations committed by the RSF as crimes against humanity, war crimes, and ethnic cleansing.

Flavia Mwangovya (Deputy Director of the Regional Office in Kenya) and Abdullahi Hassan (Sudan Researcher) discuss the report's findings with us and answer your questions.
