Besides the worldwide sensation, "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," they also wrote and recorded gold records with songs they will be performing at the Stardust Theatre! TRIVIA : Did you know that The Tokens were also the first vocal group to play their own instrument tracks for recording sessions? In 1998 The Tokens became the first and only group to sing the National anthem at all major league ballparks in one season. This accomplishment landed them in the Guinness Book of World Records! They have been inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. Original members Phil and Mitch margo have since passed. Phil's son Noah, who toured with the group for thirty years, felt it paramount to continue celebrating the great music created by his father and his uncle. With this new configuration Noah honors their legacy while keeping it in the family.
