Think speed dating, but with rope! Open play following afterwards.Upcoming Dates: Friday, Sept. 18, 8pm-11pmFriday, Oct. 23, 8pm-11pmSign up for rope speed scening as a top or bottom (switches-- just decide which you want to be for this event!).We begin with an opening welcome to go over ground rules, boundaries, and safety tips, and explain how the speed-scening activity works.Next, tops and bottoms get paired up for a round of rapid negotiation & tying. Each round starts with a brief negotiation covering key boundaries, limits, & preferences, and what you’re in the mood for, followed by about 6-8 minutes of tying. Then we'll untie, rotate to a new tying partner, and repeat the process again of a short rope scene.Rope speed-scening is a fun, fast-paced, low-pressure space to meet new people, try out some different ties, and practice the art of negotiation. The goal is to explore some new rope connections and see what happens in a small window of time. A round might be playful, labby, tentative, connective, sadistic, silly, or any number of other vibes--and maybe sometimes the vibes aren't quite there, but that's part of the experience, and at least it would be respectful and considerate.Afterwards, the space will be open for open rope play, so you could have a chance for a longer scene, maybe with someone you just met! What to Bring: Please bring rope if you have it (especially for people tying, but also for people in rope if you want to be tied in your own rope). Rope is also available for purchase at the event.Experience Needed: Some familiarity with rope (on either side) is helpful, but this event is more about a conversation--with words and with rope--rather than about knowing any specific ties or knots or positions. No specific rope skills or rope experience is required, but communication skills and body awareness are necessary.TICKET REQUIRED- Please register with the name you want on the door list. A ticket is for a specific event dates and specific role (top, bottom, switch) in the speed scening activity. If a particular ticket type does not appear on the ticketing page, it means that ticket type is sold out for that event date. If there are no tickets shown for a particular event date, it means that event date is sold out. Please review at checkout that you're getting the ticket type & event date you want!"Waitlist" is not a ticket. Waitlist means that if a ticket becomes available, you will receive an email notification, so you could buy the available ticket unless someone else has already purchased it first.
