qürbət was born of a longing to celebrate music, backgrounds, and stories we do not often hear or see represented, and actually are sometimes swallowed or erased. it was born of celebration of difference, rather than assimilation. qürbət gives DJs the opportunity to play music of their homeland(s), their journeys and their hearts, and invites you to bring your curiosity, listen closely, and speak softly. It is an evening of warmth and intimate sound journeys traversing the globe, in a newly launched cosy East London venue, prioritising curiosity, connection and collective being. As a shoes off affair, it is part living room, part music lounge. We are beyond overjoyed to invite you to this little nook of East London, Autumn Three which will be the backdrop of the evening.
