FANES Fundraising Gala Dinner

The Friends of Ancient Near Eastern Studies Fundraising Gala Dinner is an evening dedicated to supporting the future of Ancient Near Eastern scholarship, research and public engagement in Australia and beyond. The evening raises funds for (i) an annual prize for undergraduate success in Ancient Near Eastern languages, and (ii) an annual scholarship to support student travel to an overseas archaeological excavation. These awards will be open to students at any Victorian tertiary institution. Your support will help to establish our city as a global centre of this thriving field for decades to come.

The evening will feature a panel discussion with special guests Professor Eckart Frahm (Yale University), Associate Professor Kathryn Stevens (University of Oxford), and Professor Licia Romano (University of Melbourne), bringing together leading international and Australian scholars for a unique celebration of Ancient Near Eastern studies.

Each ticket includes a three-course dinner and full evening program. Table bookings for groups of ten are also available. Dress code is Black Tie.

If you are unable to attend but would like to make a donation to the Friends of Ancient Near Eastern Studies, please click “Book Now”, select the “Donation Only” ticket option, and enter your preferred donation amount.
