APLR Presents: **Slow Accordion** Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026 AyurPrana Listening Room - 312 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806 Doors 6 PM || Show 7PM **Slow Accordion:** Slow Accordion is a brand-new instrumental, improvised quartet from Nashville featuring acclaimed guitarist Oliver Wood (The Wood Brothers), groove-driven bassist Ted Pecchio (Colonel Bruce Hampton, Doyle Bramhall), versatile drummer Mark Raudabaugh (Sierra Hull, Jim Lauderdale, Fred Wesley), and Matt Glassmeyer, a fixture of the New York and Nashville improvised music scenes, performing on his own wonderfully strange Wurlitzer (Meadownoise, Lambchop, Billy Martin, Aqua Teen Hunger Force). Their debut album, due out July 16 on Royal Potato Family Records, is a seven-track collection that was completely improvised and recorded entirely in analog—from the first note to the tape literally running out halfway through the closing track. The four longtime friends came together with no preconceived ideas or compositions, simply trusting the moment to conjure music out of thin air. One final note: despite the band's name, there are, regrettably, no accordions to be heard.
