Join us at Spiegel Grove, Saturday, November 7, 2026, for an exclusive event marking the 150th anniversary of the Election of 1876. The evening will feature two parts: a performance of campaign music from the election performed in the Library Parlor of the historic Hayes Home by Hayes descendant Jennifer Barrett and Hayes Presidential Library & Museum’s own Joan Eckerman. Guests will be welcome to view the first floor of the house while enjoying a cup of warm cider and perusing a special exhibit of music manuscripts from the archives. The second part, held in the museum’s auditorium, will feature a presentation of Hayes historian Joshua Dubbert’s new program “Toward a New Interpretation of the Election of 1876,” along with a display of objects and documents related to the contested election. A range of appetizers and drinks will be served. The attire is 21st-century formal, though guests are welcome to dress in period clothing! This event is limited to 45 guests. Tickets are $75 per person, and can be purchased here:
