Jennifer Reid + Mataio Austin Dean + The Pig

An intimate matinee (2-5pm) hosted at Somers Town People's Museum; a community-led museum rooted in the history, stories and living identity of Somers Town and St Pancras. Its aim is to create “a space for us” where local people’s histories and experiences are preserved and shared.

Performances, communal song, and discussion on folk, the far right, and how young people absorb political narratives through music, migration and identity, featuring -

JENNIFER REID

Like many a Lancashire worker before her, the renowned folk historian and broadside balladress once again makes the perilous journey from Manchester to London. Raw, wry, and driven by the lived experience of those around her, as much as those who came before.

*"All skullet and ink, broad gestures and defiance"* -Narc Magazine

MATAIO AUSTIN DEAN

Genre‑shifting folk artist, researcher, and core member of LES CARAVANES and ramshackle folk juggernaut SHOVEL DANCE COLLECTIVE. One of the most thoughtful voices in contemporary folk.

THE PIG

Local supergroup of LILETH CHINN, NICHOLAS HANN and DUNCAN MCTAGGART; all rough‑hewn harmonies, deep‑rooted folk textures, and the kind of rhythmic looseness that comes from players who trust each other completely.
