Trail Running: 10 km, 5 km Halloween Forest Night Trail Run Presented by Sportsmans Warehouse Saturday, 31 October 2026 Put on your best costume and dare to explore Muratie’s Forest singletrack with a fun Halloween theme. Dirtopia has been hosting this event since 2013 and this historic wine farm is the perfect venue with spider webs in the windows of the buildings… Don’t be scared as you’ll be treated to fantastic singletrack and LIVE music. HALLOWEEN FOREST NIGHT TRAIL RUN is Presented by Sportsmans Warehouse VENUE: Dirtopia Trail Centre, Muratie wine estate, Knorhoek Road, R44 Stellenbosch REGISTRATION: From 18h15 at Dirtopia Trail Centre, Muratie DISTANCES & ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS: Beautiful singletrack trails that climbs to the ridge with stunning views of the sunset and back down to Muratie through the forest and more hand-built singletrack. Walkers welcome. Kids welcome. Headlamps / torches compulsory! Be aware of unseen Halloween visitors, as legend has it that there are zombies in the forest. The lucky draw will include prizes for the best costumes as an individual & a matching couple - win some of Muratie’s great wines, run products like SOX footwear and Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers...and a few more surprises! The refreshment station on both routes will have energy drink & jellies, fruit and Coke at the finish. Muratie will make sure the wine and beer is cold, while delicious grab’n go meals will be for sale. Live and rocking music from our friends Akkedis! Photos on the route & venue will be taken by a professional photographer. Late entries taken from 18h00 at registration at an higher fee. Runners must stay on the marked trail. Listen to the MC at the start and follow yellow boards. Do not turn unless there is an arrow. Follow signs in front of you! Please do not litter! We also urge you to not leave valuables in your vehicle. We can keep car keys at the Trail Centre for you. Have fun dressing up and the after-party is such a vibe! *Remember your headlamps!
