Join us for an evening of jazz with pianist Jérémy Dumont and his quintet, performing music from his album Eretz. Dumont started on violin at age 5, moved to piano at 12, and has since built a career spanning jazz, groove, and electro-funk. He's won several competitions in Belgium and France, performed with musicians like Fred Hersch and Etienne Charles, and leads large ensemble projects like the Elektric Band, a tribute to Chick Corea. For tonight's show, he's joined by saxophonist Godwin Louis — a collaborator he met while living in New York — along with Jean-Paul Estiévenart on trumpet, Zhenya Strigalev on sax, Shimon Gambourg on double bass, and Harvel Nakundi on drums. Expect a set that's melodic and swinging, with Middle Eastern-inspired compositions that critics have praised for being both accessible and captivating.
