The opening performance, Tianguan Cifu, recreates classical
Kunqu’s traditional banxian ceremony, honoring theatrical heritage while
invoking blessings for the Year of the Horse.

All four featured excerpts are based on the “Zui Hua
Yin” suite pattern, utilizing both single-suite and combined Southern-Northern
suite structures. By applying the same melodic framework to diverse dramatic
scenes, the performance offers audiences a direct experience of how suite-based
music flexibly adapts to express a wide range of emotional depths and dramatic
tensions.
