No matter the genre, every writer can benefit from incorporating humour. Whether to relieve tension, refine a character, or provoke a belly laugh, a bit of funny improves any text. In this intensive three-hour workshop you will learn tips, techniques, and lasting lessons to help you develop your comedic writing while testing out your material with fellow workshop participants.  Ali Hassan is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and host of Canada Reads on CBC Radio. His book, Is There Bacon in Heaven came out of his one-man show, Muslim Interrupted. Ali is also an adjunct lecturer in the Dan School of Drama and Music at Queen’s.
