This time, we’re slowing down through creativity.
Join us on Saturday, 31 October for an intimate two-hour pottery experience at The Clay Atelier - a morning designed to get you out of your head, into your hands and a little more connected to yourself.
Think clay play, mindful making, meaningful conversations and absolutely no pressure to be “good” at pottery.
The Art of Slow is about giving yourself permission to be playful, be messy and make something simply because it feels good to create.
WHAT TO EXPECTYou’ll be guided through an introduction to pottery techniques before getting stuck into your own clay creation, with guidance and support throughout the session.
The workshop is intentionally small and intimate, with the entire studio reserved exclusively for our members. There’s no rushing through a big class or needing to dash off afterwards.
Your ticket includes:• A 2-hour guided pottery workshop• An introduction to foundational pottery techniques• Time to explore your creativity through clay• A grounding, mindful creative experience• Light eats to enjoy together• Surprise giveaway• Your handmade pottery piece, which will be dried, glazed and fired after the workshop (ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after the workshop).
And, as always with The Slow Morning Social Club, there’s more to the morning than the activity itself. It’s about creating a space where women can come as they are, try something new, have real conversations and connect with people they may not otherwise have met.
Come ready to get your hands dirty. Leave with something you made yourself — and hopefully a few new memories (and friends) along the way.
