ABOUT THE PLAY (Runtime: 45 mins) On a frigid night in early February, we meet Michael, the accomplished host of a wild, semi-panicked, and warmly surprising birthday party. While his party has snacks, beverages, gifts, and decor, we learn very quickly that this isn’t a typical birthday party. This original solo show draws on youthful memories of the 1990s and queer popular culture, fit with dance breaks, group chorus, and the ever-present encouragement of a Piscean psychic. With tap routines to Peggy Lee, sing-a-longs to Barbara Streisand, irreverent presentations, and mysterious phone calls, STAY A WHILE is more than just a childhood love letter and living room farce—it’s an evening you won’t want to miss. Under the direction of St. Louis Theatre Circle award winning artist, Keating, STAY A WHILE is a one-man spectacular starring Cassidy Flynn and running September 18-20 and 24-26 at Greenfinch Theatre and Dive.
