Tales Behind the Tombstones: Beaver Ranch Pioneer CemeteryJoin us for a guided walking tour of Beaver Ranch Pioneer Cemetery to hear stories of pioneers, murder, mysteries and tragedies. Since access to this cemetery is restricted, it's a rare chance to see the little cemetery on the hill above Hwy 285.Speakers will share the history of the property, the pioneers who shaped Conifer and Jefferson, plus the tragic stories etched into the tombstones. This is an opportunity to see Conifer's history from an entirely new perspective, whether you're a history enthusiast, a resident interested in local lore, or simply curious about the stories that created our community.October 24, 2:30-4:00pm (If tickets for this time sell out, another time slot will be opened)No parking is permitted near the cemetery, so please arrive between 2-2:15pm at the former Beaver Ranch property with the Big Red BarnRefer to the map below for the exact location of parking on the adjacent private property, courtesy of the Big Red Barn ownersA shuttle will take you across the highway to the cemetery and then be prepared for a short hike up the hill.Buy your tickets ahead of time; Tickets sold day-of will be online only (no cash).Tour is rain or shine, so wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the mountain weather. Walking sticks are also advised.
