TARONGA WESTERN PLAINS ZOO Our night of nights, Taronga’s Silver Shovels Awards celebrating our organisational achievements over the last 12 months will be held in Dubbo on Wednesday, 4th November 2026. We come together to reflect on the impact of our contributions, to acknowledge everyone’s hard work and of course - have some fun! Nominations are now open and close at the end of September. Submit your nomination here: Nominate Now This year's Taronga Western Plains Zoo event will be held at the Devil's Hollow Brewery incorporating the Silver Shovels Award ceremony, a delicious two-course meal, with nibblies & cake and entertainment to celebrate the year that has been. Tickets Available: Silver Shovels Event - $25 Including 2x complimentary drinks, Awards presentation, dinner & dessert plus entertainment.  Additional alcoholic drinks are available to purchase over the bar  This event is for Taronga employees only.
