Experience The Bengal Files , the 2025 Hindi historical drama written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri , as part of CLIFF 2026, Classic Legends Indian Film Festival . The film is produced by Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri . The film follows a CBI officer investigating the disappearance of a journalist in Bengal, leading him into a story that connects a present-day investigation with the violence and upheaval surrounding the Partition era. The narrative draws on historical events in Bengal, including the violence of 1946, while using a fictional investigative framework to explore questions of history, memory, identity and the consequences of the past. With a runtime of approximately 204 minutes , The Bengal Files brings together an ensemble cast including Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Simrat Kaur and Saswata Chatterjee .
