TOURNAMENT DETAILS DATE: Friday 2 October, 2026 LOCATION: Ray Watt Oval - Wirra Crescent, Callaghan, NSW, 2308, Waratah West NSW 2308 TIME: 8:30am – 1:00pm POOLS: Age 9-10 mixed* gender, Age 11-12 mixed* gender, Age 11-13 girls only COST: $165 per team (+ booking fees) *you may enter the 'mixed gender' competitions with all male or all female players, there is no requirement for gender split Grab some team-mates and test yourself in our NJFC World Cup Tournament these School Holidays! Play in accurate 2026 FIFA World Cup Pools in a 3-game round-robin format, followed by cross-over Semi-Final and Finals rounds. All teams are guaranteed 5x games on the day, with the winners of each age group taking home bragging rights and tickets to the first home game of the Newcastle Jets 2026/27 season The tournament will be 5-aside with no goalkeepers. As the tournament is taking place at our new HQ - the University of Newcastle - the NJFC World Cup will be used as a talent identification opportunity for Academy and Pre-Academy staff. Technical staff will be onsite throughout the tournament and any players who are of interest will be contacted after the event. Taking part in this competition does not guarantee any involvement in the Academy or Pre-Academy in the future. Tournament is targeted at players in JDL competitions or those looking to progress their football to a competitive challenge point. Team names will be allocated at random prior to the event. This will be communicated with team managers via email no later than Monday 13 July. Each team must have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 8 players registered, and a team manager/represenative who stays with the team for the duration of the event.
