This workshop is inspired by my interest and training in both whacking and heels styles, with a desire to expiriment with how the two styles compliment one another and create more opportunities for overlap in the Scottish dance scene. Rather than focusing on choreography, this session will utilise drills and short phrases to train the following elements:walks in heels, weight distribution and weight changesgrooves (because we are dancing. )core elements of Whacking: Punking, Posing, and striking with force arm drills, placement and hand articulationThis workshop is an open level - heels dancers who have never done whacking and whacking dancers who have never danced in heels are all welcome.
