The ACA Narre Warren Chapter meet on the third Tuesday of the month Agenda: "Beyond the Tapping: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping)" Presented by Elizabeth Cester "Beyond the Tapping: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping)" This presentation introduces Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT/Tapping) and explores what it means to use the modality safely, ethically and effectively. Attendees will receive a brief overview of EFT, its developing research base, and its potential use for self-regulation and therapeutic work. The session will focus on nervous-system safety, the practitioner's role, client capacity, and a phased approach. No prior EFT knowledge is required. This is an introductory professional overview rather than EFT practitioner training. Elizabeth Cester is an ACA Level 2 Registered Counsellor, and a Certified Emotional Freedom Techniques Practitioner with both EFT International and NeftTi. She is currently completing Advanced Practitioner Certification with EFT International, and is passionate about helping others understand EFT as more than a tapping sequence. Her therapeutic approach integrates person-centred counselling, positive psychology and trauma-informed EFT, with an emphasis on nervous-system safety, client capacity and gentle, sustainable change.
