(Cassette Release) Discount Coffin An eclectic and unmistakably Winnipeg musical force, Claire Thérèse & The Lockdown bring together folk, rock, country and experimental sensibilities into something entirely their own. Fronted by interdisciplinary artist and singer-songwriter Claire Thérèse Friesen, the band has become a distinctive part of Winnipeg’s independent music scene, appearing at festivals, concert series and stages throughout Manitoba. Their 2022 full-length Villainy! established the band as one of the city’s compelling local acts, blending intimate songwriting with a full-band sound that refuses to sit neatly inside one genre. About a year ago Nothin'!!! made their debut at Public Domain with some of their favourite local bands. A year later they are honoured to come on back to Public Domain to join two more favs in Claire Thérèse & The Lockdown + Discount Coffin.Nothin'!!! is four really good friends making fast, loud, sometimes tight / more often loose synthy Rock n Roll punk-spirited tunes with the occasional hint of Dad Rock. This show also marks the debut cassette release supported by the legendaryTransistor 66 (https://www.transistor66.com/) and Scum Lord respectively to whom the band is eternally grateful!
