Decrepit Youths head out on tour with Amongst Liars, headline The Loading Bay, North Shields on Wed 28 Oct, support comes from TROJIKA! Across their music, Decrepit Youths channel a raw and uncompromising energy. The six-piece fuse heavy, riff-driven foundations with synth-soaked textures, distortion-drenched soundscapes, and lyrics that cut deep into themes of self-sabotage and oppression. The result is a dark, explosive take on alt-rock that feels both visceral and unrestrained. Formed in the summer of 2023, the band made an immediate impact with their debut single ‘Loose Ends’, which was named Single of the Month by CRACK Magazine and picked up playlisting across two BBC Introducing shows. Their follow-up, ‘Kill The Lights’, pushed their sound further onto the national stage when it was championed by Alyx Holcombe on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show. Fronted by David Stoker and Connor Pattison, the band’s dual vocals drive their boundary-pushing sound, with each member adding their own edge to a collective chemistry that thrives on grit, chaos, and creativity. Hailing from Brighton, Amongst Liars are a tight & formidable powerhouse of a band; urgent, questioning, loud & fierce. They play heavy and direct alt rock: massive riffs & powerful, melodic choruses, fuzzy guitar, pummeling drums & bass, pin-balling between heavy alternative rock, grunge & punk.
