Create a beautiful piece of functional fall décor while learning the art of mosaics! In this two-part workshop, you’ll transform a 10-inch wooden Lazy Susan into a colorful seasonal mosaic. Choose from two designs: a festive fall pumpkin or a whimsical black cat peeking up from pile of autumn leaves.During the first session, you’ll learn the basics of mosaic design, including glass selection, cutting, placement, and andamento—the flow and direction of pieces within a mosaic. You’ll practice cutting and nipping glass, arrange your design, and adhere the pieces to your wooden base.Return for the second session to grout your mosaic and add the finishing touches that bring your design together. You’ll also receive a take-home kit with supplies and instructions for sealing your finished Lazy Susan.Previous mosaic experience is helpful but not required. Come enjoy a creative fall workshop and leave with a handmade piece that’s both decorative and useful!Day 1 - Saturday, October 3 - 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (instructions, glass cutting, design and glueing)Day 2 - Sunday, October 4 - 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (drop in for grouting - plan for 1 hour)Reserve your spot today!Attendees must be at least 18 years of age, or 15 if participating with a parent or legal guardian.Proper attire is required for all class participants. You will need to wear closed toe shoes, socks and long pants.Protective eyewear will be provided, but feel free to bring your own safety goggles if you prefer.Each class will begin with a review of studio safety and proper glass cutting and handling techniques.Refund policy: We require a 48-hour (2-day) cancellation notice in order to issue a refund.
