Coursey Willis follows the rum runners, watermen, hidden taverns, and outlaw networks that turned the Chesapeake Bay into a smuggler’s highway. From Kent Island’s notorious Bootleggers tavern to a massive whiskey factory hidden on a Chesapeake island and the blood-spattered mystery of a dead lighthouse keeper, this fast-moving, 30-minute live storytelling experience uncovers the lawless Eastern Shore hiding beneath the glamour of the Roaring Twenties.Along the way, Willis will dig into another piece of local drinking lore: the mysterious Kent Island Iced Tea, passed across bars and back rooms for generations.
