From gentrified to gentrifiers. A young Latin-American couple catapults into a life of sudden wealth— and its subsequent temptations. LIMÃO Y SAL gives modern twists to classic South and Central American folk tales that warn of the consequences of romancing venture capitalists, gaslighting your polycule and eating unlabelled sausage. Engaging with Guatemalan/Mayan folktale from Lake Atitlán, "The Woman Who Loved Many Hombres and Died from Drinking a lot of Water and a Piece of Sausage that She Had Eaten." linda maria girón (Playwright - LIMÃO Y SAL ) linda maria girón (they/them) is a queer Guatemalan-american actor, playwright, musician and visual artist creating art to inspire joy, empathy and collective liberation. On stage, lin recently appeared as Zo in Crowded Fire Theater’s Limp Wrist on the Lever, Eva in Marin Theater’s Do You Feel Anger?, and Betty 3 in Shotgun Players’ Collective Rage. On the page, lin has written new work for Crowded Fire Theater, Town Hall Theater, PlayGround, MCCLA and 3GT. By day, lin is a UC Santa Cruz Theater Arts MA candidate, a graphic designer for Golden Thread Productions, teaching artist with Word for Word and a Capricorn.
