Townsville indie-punk rockers Poison Oak are celebrating the release of their new album with a run of album launch shows across North Queensland. Following a string of singles including ‘Tell Me’, ‘Melt’ and ‘Laser Love’ , Poison Oak are ready to bring their new record to the stage. Formed in Townsville in 2019, the four-piece have built a reputation for their energetic live shows and infectious blend of indie rock, punk and power-pop. The band have shared stages with Tones and I, DZ Deathrays and Slowly Slowly , while earning airplay and coverage across Australia and internationally. The new album continues Poison Oak’s trademark mix of big guitars, catchy melodies, punk energy, humour and nostalgia , while showcasing the band's evolution over several years of writing and recording. The album was produced by Brock Weston , whose credits include Beddy Rays, Bugs and Dune Rats.
