r.hythmik are back once again at their home away from from, ready to bring stripped back grooves and bouncy minimal to the Rhythm dancefloor. This time around, they’ll be joined by one of Montreal’s finest: Ostrich. Ostrich has built a reputation for his refined, minimalist aesthetic—one that subtly bridges the worlds of dub, deep house, and techno. Delivering a sound that’s both playful and precise, he has a penchant for digging into stripped-back rhythms, off-kilter grooves, and richly layered selections. Steadily building momentum without rushing it, Ostrich’s sets tend to unfold with intention, moving between warm house tones and more intricate, percussive territories while keeping the dance floor fully engaged. His approach to production mirrors his work behind the decks: subtle, groove-driven, and steeped in atmosphere. With releases on labels such as Courtesy of Balance, Ark To Ashes, Opulence, Souvenir Music, and Sublease reflect this sensibility, each track carefully constructed to balance tension and release. His work has earned recurring support from John Digweed, with multiple features on the influential Transitions radio show. Thomas James is a Toronto-based DJ, who strives to connect the dots between House, UKG, Techno and Minimal. You can expect his sets to contain all the elements the genres have in common: Swinging grooves, deep atmospheres, and heavy, heavy bass. Born in Manchester, r.hythmik co-founder Greg Burke’s sets contain unrelenting, syncopated grooves, with genres ranging from Rominimal, to UK tech house, and everywhere in between. Minimum age: 19+
