Introduction
Psychosocial safety supports staff wellbeing, quality care and workforce sustainability. This practical session helps managers identify psychosocial hazards, recognise early signs of distress, respond supportively, strengthen supervision and debriefing, and build clear support and escalation pathways.

Psychosocial hazards, their impact and how they present in aged care and community services.
✓ Recognising workplace pressure points
Workload, emotional demands, aggression, trauma exposure, isolation, moral distress and system pressures.

Recognising early warning signs and having supportive conversations.
✓ Strengthening supervision and debriefing
Practical strategies for reflective practice, peer support, wellbeing and early intervention.

Communication strategies for distress, conflict, frustration, delays and high-pressure interactions.
✓ Boundaries, escalation and action
Clarifying responsibilities and practical strategies to reduce psychosocial risk.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a manager-focused session, not an operational staff session. The content focuses on leadership responsibilities, supervision, early intervention, debriefing, escalation, risk management and team wellbeing.
