The concert opens with Ralph Vaughan Williams’s beloved ‘Fantasia on a Theme’ by Thomas Tallis, transforming a Tudor hymn into a soaring masterpiece for strings. Mozart’s sublime Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major features distinguished French violinist Nicolas Dautricourt alongside violist Loan Cazal (principal viola of the Royal Danish Orchestra), whose career has included principal positions with several renowned European orchestras. The programme concludes with one of Joseph Haydn’s most dramatic symphonies, the powerful ‘La Passione’. Box Office now open.
