GDP / Slim Krusty / This Is A Robbery @ Vinnies Dive

GDP , legendary rapper and producer from West Orange, New Jersey, returns to Australia for the first time in nearly 15 years. Raised on punk, hardcore, and DIY ethics, he carved his own lane through the underground hip-hop scene with merciless wordplay, bleak humour, and constant creative and spiritual evolution. After years of cult records, relentless touring and disappearing into a cloud of smoke, GDP is back with Cross Off Matthew, 12 self-produced songs on Run For Cover Records making for his most focused release yet. https://g6d6p6.bandcamp.com/ album/cross-off-matthew A powerhouse of raw talent, Slim Krusty captivates audiences with his quick right hand and quick wit, his ‘from the heart’ lyric-writing and infectious energy. Slim’s message is rooted in love, pain, vulnerability, and taking the piss - ultimately unifying his live audiences in a shared experience of laughter and tears. The authenticity and passion behind Slim Krusty’s music continues to connect people, and he is determined to see how far his journey can go without him completely fucking it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=tba-zVjmFto& Chris Burrows is back from the dead, fronting anarcho folk-punk band This Is A Robbery . Forged through years of house shows, hitchhiking, and good acid trips, Chris built an international cult following through razor-edged bars and an uncompromising ethos. Rolling through your town, the OGs return with a doctor's dose of gutter rock and insurrectionary psychosis. Catchy like a punch in the face. Songs for the hustlers, fuckups, and the more lonely children of the revolution. https://thisisarobbery. bandcamp.com/track/welcome-to- hell Supports TBA.
