DFWWA - Artists Talks with Lore Smolders & Emmanuelle Quertain (EN)

On the occasion of the second edition of "Drawing From Where We Are -An Exhibition of Recent Graduates from Belgian Art Schools", we wanted to invite artists and researchers Lore Smolders and Emmanuelle Quertain to join us in extending the discussions and questions raised by the exhibition and by the works of the nineteen participating artists. Join us at LaVallée (bar area at the entrance) for an afternoon of talks, followed by a visit to the exhibition with the curators.   2 pm - Emmanuelle Quertain (EN - 40 min) - artist and teacher   3 pm - Lore Smolders (EN - 40 min) - artist, teacher and PhD researcher at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent   4 pm - Exhibition tour with the curators, Marion Adrian and Sungyoon Ahn, followed by a discussion around the works (EN/FR/NL)   Practical information: Artist Talks - Saturday 17 October · 2–5 pm · Bar area LaVallée - Rue Adolphe Lavallée 39, 1080 Brussels  Free · registration required · 80 people maximum   Access: Metro: lines 1, 2, 5, 6 — Ribaucourt / Comte de Flandre Tram: 51 / Bus: 20, 89 / Train: Brussels-North / Brussels-West stations       "Drawing From Where We Are - An Exhibition of Recent Graduates from Belgian Art Schools" is a biennial group exhibition dedicated to emerging Belgian art and contemporary approaches to drawing. It brings together nineteen recently graduated artists from twelve art schools, selected from across Belgium.   Conceived in dialogue with the Art on Paper fair (2–4 October 2026), DFWWA highlights artists whose practices are deliberately transdisciplinary.
