We have the honour of welcoming “Beardy” Dave Cummins to Navan Whiskey Festival on Sunday the 18th of October for the official closing event of our 2026 festival. One of the most recognisable and beloved characters on the Irish whiskey scene, Dave has become, for many, one of the faces of the Irish whiskey revival. As Global Brand Ambassador for Dingle Distillery, he’s been right at the forefront of that revival for well over 15 years, watching the Irish whiskey industry change beyond recognition and playing his own part in bringing its story to people all over the world. We’re going to sit down with Dave by the fire in Bermingham’s Bar for a leisurely chat about his journey through the industry, the excitement of working with one of the coolest whiskey brands in the country, the highs, lows and occasional perils of life as a brand ambassador, and, most importantly, lots of the stories he’s picked up along the way. And it wouldn’t be a fireside chat with Dave without a dram or two. He’ll be bringing a couple of very special Dingle pours to share with us and to mark the occasion. Tickets are €20, which includes a complimentary pint of Guinness on arrival, along with the special Dingle pours during the afternoon.
