Sounds of Solidarity: Kapit Bisig Fundraiser is an upcoming benefit concert to raise funds for the Philippines solidarity movement! Join us for a night of bands, including Sendai Era, Laughing about Nothing, and The Sun Darts.Doors open at 5 PM & program starts at 5:30!Stop by and grab a tasty dinner, sweet treat, and fun beverage, or win a sweet prize in our raffle (including a free massage, bread & jam basket, & more!)The Philippines has been waging a decades long revolution against the Filipino ruling class and US imperialism. Overseas Filipino activists and solidarity allies have been fighting and WINNING struggles for the people here. This has looked like freeing Filipinos and other migrants from ICE detention, growing solidarity with striking workers, organizing workplaces, and bringing more and more people into a strong anti-imperialist pro-people movement! We are planning to send 30 plus organizers from Washington to ICHRP’s global assembly to strategize with and learn from other organizers around the world, including directly from the Philippines.
