HolyShift VI: Creature., TikOgo, Werd Pace HolyShift is a London–Berlin-based collective, live event series and music label bringing together artists for evenings of soulful electronic music, moving between jazz, broken beat, Hip Hop, experimental electronics and groove-led sounds. TikOgo Berlin-based Brazilian producer, DJ and Hip Hop drummer TikOgo brings together Hip Hop, Afrobeat, House, Jazz, Soul, Funk and Brazilian music. Working with MPCs, Roland 404, percussion and Pandeiro, his live sets are driven by groove, feeling and contagious energy. He has collaborated with artists including Erykah Badu, Bobby McFerrin, Tony Allen and Black Milk. Werd Pace Musical director, producer, DJ and multidisciplinary artist Werd Pace has been active internationally since the late 1990s, working across Hip Hop, live performance, theatre and contemporary art. Combining turntablism, percussion and controllerism, his work is rooted in Hip Hop and collaboration. He also runs the indie label Long Lost Relative and Sample Science, a monthly Berlin event for beatmakers and producers. Creature. London-based Creature. (Jim Cornelissen) fuses club-ready jazz and broken beat with Hip Hop, electronic music and jazz-funk. A session player for artists including Yaya Bey and Katie Tupper, his sound draws from Yussef Dayes, Alfa Mist, Flying Lotus and Machinedrum.
