Gloop Unit Single Release Show

Wazzaaa. Gloop Unit are celebrating the release of their new single 'Unearthed' taken from their upcoming EP 'Duck Duck Gloop' on Commune Records. Inspired by the leftfield electronica of the Orb and the folk-rock sounds of Fairport Convention, Gloop Unit weave sequencers and drum machines into folkloric acoustic refrains. Expect synths galore, dancing, introspection and sacrifice.

Main Support: Lifeloose
Powerhouse duo Lifeloose are turning the Social into a full-on electroclash slumber party. Secret invite, no plus-ones. Let them take us on a journey to collective whiplash as they teach us the meaning of electronic-music-subgenre-maxxing.

Opening: Charlie Keen's Silver Birch
Multi-instrumentalist Charlie Keen opens proceedings with a not-to-be-missed musical experience. Drawing from the impressionism of Ravel, the free improvisations of Anthony Braxton and the jazz spirit of Kenny Werner, Charlie Keen's Silver Birch guides us into a punctuated meditative state built from drones, synth, and haunting yet euphoric trombone-led compositions. Keen's trombone playing takes centre stage after years of playing with and for other people, including Keg, Terry Pack's Trees, Caroline and Squid.

Come get wormy with us.
