LAURA CANNELL - Music

SIMON NUNN - Film

Contemporary minimalism, Neo-Medieval music and Evocative Earthly Landscape imagery come together create an intimate deep listening and visually immersive experience.

Laura Cannell’s rich string drones and other instruments explore ancient melodies with real-time compositions and improvisation to fill the 18th century architecture of Norwich’s Octagon Chapel while film-maker Simon Nunn creates and projects East Anglian imagery directly onto the columns and spaces above, mixing live visuals with live improvised sound.

Medieval Deep Listening is for anyone who wants to enjoy a listening experience immersed in a magical environment of sound and vision.

You can bring a pillow and lay on a pew (unless the concert is sold out!) switch off from everything and soak in the resonance of the Octagon Chapel. Its not a sound bath, but somewhere you are invited to relax and be in the moment of live creativity with the artists.

Live improvisations based on the music of Hildegard of Bingen, The Cantigas de Santa Maria, Guillaumme de Machaut and many more.

Immerse yourself in a relaxed hour of medieval inspired music and visuals.
