Join us for this final event of Member Appreciation Week, Raku!Join Community CLay and AlSi Ceramics for an incredible raku firing experience! We have booked AlSi Ceramics and their travel raku kiln, as well as the Coors lot behind our studio. Members can attend a Raku talk, member appreciation party, and have a chance to try the Raku experience from start to finish. All members are invited to observe, learn, and party for free. RSVP required.A limited number of tickets will be sold to fire pieces during the event. Paid tickets include firing for one piece up to 6x6x6 using special raku clay and glaze. You can book up to two spots per member. All firing, specialty clays and glazes will be provided for anyone who books a paid spot. You will also be invited to a special workshop before the event to create your piece, but you are welcome to create your piece on your own time. It is recommended to use clay and glazes provided for best results.Come watch the awe inspiring and majorly dramatic raku process, have a bite and a drink, and meet other members and the instructors who make our studio a community.When: Saturday, September 12thTime: 5-8pmWhere: Coors Field ParkingThere are two ticket types to this event.Free: If you just want to observe and enjoy snacks and company, book the free ticket. The event is for members and a guest. Please book 2 free spots if you're bringing a guest.Paid: If you'd like to fire a piece, book a paid ticket. If you want to make a piece larger than 6x6x6 (up to 12x12x12) or want to fire two 6x6x6 pieces, book two spots. Raku pottery is not food safe. Items must be bisque fired before Raku firing.RSVP required for both types of tickets. You must book either a free or paid seat so we know how much food and beverage to order.
