Join St. Mary’s Episcopal School for an evening with David Thomas, nationally recognized therapist, bestselling author, and co-executive director of Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville. Drawing from decades of experience working with children and families, David will share practical, encouraging guidance for raising kids who are prepared to navigate challenges, work through disappointment, develop confidence, and grow in independence His latest book, Capable: A New Model of Parenting for Resilient Kids, co-authored with Sissy Goff, explores a simple but powerful idea: Instead of focusing solely on raising happy kids, we can help raise capable kids—young people who know they can do hard things, overcome roadblocks, and keep moving forward.
