The Department of Arts and Entertainment Technologies at UT Austin and Ableton are joining forces for an event exploring where music technology is headed next. Presented in partnership with Austin Community College's ATI Department and dadageek.
This one's for anyone in Austin who wants to be in the room: no cover, no prerequisites, and everyone is welcome.
Doors open at 6:00 with a chance to meet the visiting artists and the Ableton Education team face to face. Get hands-on with Ableton hardware, featuring the Ableton Move, set up as a playground just for the night. Starting at 7:30, four artists take the stage for short, performative presentations: part performance, part behind-the-curtain look at how they actually work. The night wraps with an open panel where all four take questions together.
Free and open to the public.
