- Picky New Promotions are excited to present September's Groove Session featuring Leicester rising stars SPRING with support from Northampton legends THE BARRATTS.SPRING are a Leicester-based three piece alternative band creating original music from a variety of personal inspirations, mixing sounds of hazy shoegaze with the raw energy of rock. This will be their first time playing in Northampton! THE BARRATTS are an indie quartet from Northampton. Originally releasing their debut EP ‘Open Wounds and Windows’ in 2016, and the singles ‘The Garrison’ and ‘Lights Out In London’ in 2019, the band and their ‘Addictive indie riffs and gritty vocals’ , with lyrical themes rooted in everyday life, released their follow up EP ‘Holding Up The Queue’ in 2024. Their energetic live sound draws comparisons to bands such as The Strokes, Pulp and The Libertines.Additional support comes from Bristol-based VETNA.Tickets are £10 in advance.Doors 7 pm.
