Chikara The Boy 津軽三味線を弾きながら歌う 妲己-Dakki。重い撥で叩きつける北国の奏法は、聴くというより体に来ます。Chikara The Boy のギターとラップ、B.B.K. の DJ とフィンガードラムを加え、和楽器、ロック、ヒップホップが一つのステージで交わる。全曲オリジナル。開演からぜひ。 Dakki sings and plays tsugaru-shamisen — the hard, percussive style of northern Japan, played with a heavy plectrum and a strike you feel as much as hear. With Chikara The Boy on guitar and rap and B.B.K. on DJ and finger drums: rock, hip-hop, pop and traditional Japanese instruments in the same set. All original material. Dale Walker がバンドとともに書き下ろした楽曲です。 Rock at the centre, with a pop touch and a progressive, atmospheric reach. Two songs open into long floating keyboard passages; the rest belong to the guitars. Dale Walker with the band. 「Waiting for the Rain」は、どんなことがあっても諦めない、という歌。ゆっくりと大きく開いていくバラード。「Saturnine」は、理由も分からないまま身動きが取れなくなる曲で、同じように急がず、層を重ねながら進む。「If I Look Good To You」は、音楽ではなく見た目だけで判断されるミュージシャンを、皮肉を効かせたミドルテンポで。「Silver Spoon」は安い席から世の中を眺める、ピアノが引っ張る軽快な一曲。「Pretty White Lies」は、小さな嘘がやがて大きく膨らんでいく様を描く、バンドのポップな一面が最もはっきり出た曲。 "Waiting for the Rain" is a ballad about not giving up, and it opens slowly and keeps opening. "Saturnine" is about being stuck without knowing why, and it moves the same way — unhurried, layer on layer. "If I Look Good To You" is a mid-tempo piece of sarcasm about musicians judged on how they look rather than how they sound. "Silver Spoon" watches the world from the cheap seats, piano-led and fast on its feet.
