Art of Pride, a program of San Diego Pride, is pleased to announce Out at the Museum — an evening where queer art, culture, and community take center stage. Out at the Museum is a brand-new Art of Pride experience that brings our community together inside one of San Diego's most iconic cultural spaces: the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.Inaugural Theme: "Be the Muse" Dress Code: Inspire or Be Inspired – Art of Pride invites you to be the MUSE. For one night, we pay tribute to the generations of queer icons and muses who refused to disappear — who stood boldly in the light, inspired the greatest works of their time, and handed that legacy of visibility down to us. Event Details:Out at the Museum will be held at the MCASD Axline Court, located at 700 Prospect Street, La Jolla. Join local artists, advocates, and the broader LGBTQ+ community for an evening filled with extraordinary performances, burlesque, community activations and installation art — all set against the backdrop of one of San Diego's most celebrated cultural institutions. Out at the Museum is a night to honor, support, and celebrate one another. The MCASD has also just announced their fall 2025 exhibition which all guests will have access to: Visiones Nocturnas: Queer Nightlife in Contemporary ArtWorks included in Visiones probe the physical trappings of these environments—dance clubs, dive bars, block parties, backyards and bathhouses—for their capacity to generate sites of queer belonging, transcendence, and resilience. Highlighting Latina/o/e and Latin American artists from the 1990s to today, this intergenerational presentation encompasses painting, performance, photography, sculpture, textile, collage, video, and more.Join us for a night of creativity, connection, and Pride as we celebrate the power of queer expression in the heart of the Museum of Contemporary Art.
