Rising star, and recent Masters graduate of the Elder Conservatorium, James Huon George joins forces with violinist Ioana Tache for a thrilling program of Mozart, Dohnányi, Sarasate, and Boulanger. She has been performing in Australia since 2013 with various ensembles. She has had the privilege of learning from and performing alongside some of the most extraordinary musicians this country has to offer. She is thankful for the ways in which each one of them has shaped the musician that she is. Ioana returns to the stage after spending the last 2 years discovering the magic of life as a mother. This new chapter in her life brings a greater and deeper sense of meaning and purpose to her craft and she is incredibly excited to discover it in the practice room and on stage, with her audience. ABOUT JAMES HUON GEORGE James Huon George is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of South Australia’s most exceptional young pianists and collaborative artists. Born and raised in Adelaide, James completed his Master of Music (Performance) at the University of Adelaide's Elder Conservatorium of Music in 2025, studying under Lucinda Collins. His foundational tertiary, and Honours training was guided by celebrated German pianist Stefan Ammer, and Russian virtuoso Konstantin Shamray (winner of the Sydney International Piano Competition). Today, James is a prominent fixture in Adelaide’s cultural landscape. His performances are frequently broadcast on ABC Classic FM, Radio 5MBS, Radio Adelaide, and 5EBI. An active participant in high-level masterclasses, he has honed his craft with internationally renowned pianists including Emmanuel Despax, Roy Howat, and Anna Goldsworthy.
